Position SummaryThis role may include a hybrid work arrangement with partial remote work, depending on System Office policy. The Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) reports to the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Schools and Units and partners with Chief Development Officers in Arts and Culture to set strategies and goals for capital campaigns. The AVC will be responsible for fundraising, donor development, alumni engagement, stewardship, brand building, impact reporting, and securing philanthropic funding to advance the School’s mission.
Key Responsibilities- Lead fundraising efforts and cultivate relationships with new and existing prospects.
- Manage a personal portfolio of major and principal gift prospects, engaging prominent alumni and potential funders.
- Collaborate with key constituents, other leadership, the school’s development team, and university development office colleagues.
- Establish strategic direction and goals for capital campaigns in Arts and Culture.
- Oversee donor development, stewardship, alumni engagement, brand building, and impact reporting.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) with related experience. For direct solicitation of gifts, a minimum of 1 year of professional‑level, direct solicitation/fundraising experience is required.
Required Qualifications , Competencies, and ExperienceA demonstrated record of significant leadership and fundraising accomplishments.
Preferred Qualifications , Competencies, and ExperienceMinimum of 8–10 years of successful fundraising experience, preference for direct experience soliciting major gifts, and preference for capital campaign experience and management experience in a complex work environment.
