Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced people leader to oversee our Denver indies team as Associate Director of Indies Sales. This leader will oversee two managers and their sales teams, play a pivotal role in shaping the indies strategy, and may manage individual contributors as our headcount expands. The ideal candidate is a proven people leader who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, excels at developing talent, and is passionate about driving year-over-year growth through strategic, data-informed decision-making.

They will build on current initiatives while creating new approaches to maximize growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate the Denver team—including two managers and their sales teams—by coaching, supporting professional development, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee Denver headcount, propose staffing plans, and develop new leadership talent as the team grows.
  • Champion EF’s culture by fostering belonging, fun, and collaboration; build traditions and celebrate wins.
  • Serve as the primary indies advocate for the Denver office, ensuring its unique needs are understood and represented to leadership, while promoting equity and inclusion across all offices.
  • Support staff retention and leadership development, coordinating with Denver’s OLS team.
  • Act as a liaison between Denver managers and Boston directors, sharing perspectives and best practices.
  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and maximize growth opportunities, especially for repeat customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders in sales, traveler support, marketing, analytics, engineering, and product to drive business results and build repeat strategies.
  • Use data and analytics to inform strategy, track performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of sales management experience, preferably with large and/or tenured teams.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership roles, with a proven ability to drive growth year over year.
  • Experience building and leading collaborative, high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional ability to motivate teams and maintain consistent focus and intensity.
  • Highly organized, excellent time management, and a self-starter mentality.
  • Strong influencing skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Outstanding communication skills and experience collaborating across departments.
