The 6360 Senior Manager will execute strategic initiatives in collaboration with the United States Nuclear Detonation Detection System (USNDS) ground program management office.
This mission is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of the operational ground segment of USNDS, a space‑based remote sensing system tailored to meet national security needs for both the warfighter and the treaty monitoring community. - Lead Integrated Teams:
Oversee a collaborative team of managers to ensure alignment with mission objectives. - Capability Development:
Partner with the Modern Systems Solutions group (6370) to create and manage a capability factory that balances stakeholder needs with team capacity. - Strategic Leadership:
Drive the development and execution of group strategy, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and nurture strong partnerships with Sandia Program Offices, co‑developing solutions to meet their needs. - Synergy Creation:
Encourage collaboration between projects and products within the group to enhance overall impact. - Portfolio Execution:
Lead the execution of the emergent systems portfolio alongside the Modern Systems Solutions group. - Program Oversight:
Direct the execution of the US Nuclear Detonation Detection System (USNDS), ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range$184,400 - $313,700
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, plus ten (10) or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI, which may require a polygraph test.
In addition to the required qualifications, the ideal R&D Science & Engineering Senior Manager candidate for Sandia National Laboratories will possess the following:
- Five (5) or more years of demonstrated leadership experience.
- A graduate degree in science or engineering (MS or Ph.D.).
