Risk Manager/Analyst
Overview
The Agency Manager is responsible for overseeing the full operations of the agency, driving production, managing team performance, and ensuring an exceptional client experience across all product lines. This role manages both personal lines (Auto & Home/P&C) and Life & Health, oversees daily workflows, supports sales activity, and ensures regulatory and carrier compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep insurance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to grow a team and improve agency performance.

Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and manage agency staff across P&C and Life & Health
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of team members
- Conduct performance reviews and maintain accountability standards
- Promote a positive, professional, and productive team environment
Sales & Production Oversight
- Support producers with underwriting guidance, quoting accuracy, and sales strategy
- Monitor and improve quote-to-bind ratios
- Implement cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities
- Ensure monthly and annual production goals are met
Client Service & Retention
- Oversee service operations: endorsements, renewals, billing, claims assistance
- Handle escalated or complex client issues when needed
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure excellent service delivery
- Lead renewal and retention processes across all lines of business
Operations, Systems & Compliance
- Manage agency workflows and ensure timely, accurate task completion
- Oversee compliance with state regulations and carrier underwriting guidelines
- Maintain documentation quality and accuracy in agency systems
- Improve agency processes to enhance efficiency and consistency
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Track and report production, retention, and team performance metrics
- Coordinate with the Agency Owner on operational priorities
- Support execution of agency goals, systems, and initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty license (required)
- Active Life & Health license (required)
- 5+ years of insurance experience, with strong personal lines background
- Leadership or management experience strongly preferred
- Strong underwriting, servicing, and carrier system knowledge
- Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced remote environment
- Experience with agency management systems (Applied, Hawk Soft, AMS
360, etc.) a plus
