Business Solutions Director, Team Lead at LedgentLedgent Accounting & Finance is seeking an Accounting Manager to join one of our financial services client's accounting team located in El Segundo, CA. The position offers a balance of both onsite collaboration three days per week and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring alignment with our client's mission-driven organization. This is a contract to hire position.
The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role oversees daily accounting operations, month‑end close, and prepares reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies such as the NCUA. The Accounting Manager drives process improvements, maintains strong internal controls, and collaborates across departments to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and mentor the accounting team, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
- Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and month‑end closing processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes for efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and keep leadership informed on financial matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 7‑10 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements (NCUA standards).
- Proficiency with accounting and budgeting software; experience with process improvement tools.
- Must have supervisory experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross‑functionally, and maintain confidentiality.
