Director of Construction; Solar​/Renewables

Overview

The Construction Director is a key leader responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic growth within utility-scale solar projects. This role focuses on implementing innovative resources and new revenue streams, evaluating and optimizing operational processes, and developing strategies that standardize and enhance all aspects of construction operations.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, the Construction Director provides leadership to ensure superior operating performance across the division. This includes overseeing and guiding Project Managers and senior construction staff through effective administrative direction, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with company safety standards and procedural policies. The position plays a critical role in monitoring project execution, mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Location & Travel: This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position supports our business across the United States with regular travel to project sites (up to 50%). This position is eligible for a vehicle allowance and a company credit card to cover any business related travel costs.

• Responsible for implementing the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the division
• Responsible for interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems

• Assist Division VP in developing the strategic plan for the business unit and ensure its implementation
