LMS Business Project Manager - Remote​/Telecommute

Job Description

Pay Range: $74.04/hr - $79.04/hr

• Client is seeking an experienced project manager with Learning Management System (LMS) migration and implementation experience with a proven history of delivering on highly complex projects, ideally within wealth management and insurance industries.
• In this role, candidate will be the Business PM for the overall LMS initiative, including program oversight of technical delivery teams and external suppliers, as well as tactical project management of internal business work streams including project planning, day-to-day execution, and project health reporting.
• This initiative will have significant impact on many internal resources and external advisors, requiring a high degree of stakeholder management across internal teams within a matrixed organization.
• Experience with LMS migrations and implementations is strongly preferred.
• This is a highly complex initiative which requires that the LMS Business PM facilitate collaboration amongst multiple internal and external constituencies through continuous stakeholder management while driving progress, in partnership with the Technology PM, on development of external workflows like training completion with compliance needs, internal workflows to support content publication from multiple home office teams, new technology platform installation including integrations and migration of existing data and users, and two systems to decommission.
• Partner with Project Sponsors and Functional Managers to develop project management artifacts including a project charter, resource grid / RACI, and a high-level Milestone Plan.
• Plan, execute, monitor and control the internal business workstream plans, including day-to-day execution and management of resources, costs, scope, and schedule.
• Partner with technical delivery teams, external suppliers, and other PM(s) to manage an integrated and holistic plan inclusive of project estimates, work plans, and resource plans to drive accountability across the program.
• Ensure early identification of risks, supporting escalations and driving to resolution.
• Recommend appropriate strategies, actions, and/or alternatives for business decisions across project work streams.
• Proactively communicate any proposed changes to schedules, costs, benefits or impacts to project sponsors and manage any change according to approved recommendations.
• Manage vendor relationships and contractual obligations with all project vendors.

• 8+ years of project management experience.
• 7+ years of proficiency in project management software including but not limited to MS Project, MS Planner and Jira.

• Experience with Learning Management System implementations / migrations / consolidations highly preferred.
• 10+ years of project management experience, 5+ within a PMO.
• 8+ years of experience leading projects impacting the insurance and/or wealth manage industries.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Proven success in delivering complex long-term projects on time, within budget, and to scope.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (i.e., Waterfall, Agile).

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and expertise.
