Join our team as a Quality Improvement (QI) Manager and lead enterprise-wide initiatives that drive excellence across all Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) entities, including the Aurora Research Institute (ARI). In this pivotal role, you’ll champion a data-driven quality framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering transparency and continuous improvement. You’ll oversee measurement-based care, analyze clinical and operational trends, and collaborate with program leaders to identify opportunities, implement action plans, and optimize performance.

This position will work Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and is eligible for a hybrid model, which allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in the office a minimum of two days per week and working from home three days. This schedule may be adjusted based on training and department needs.
AMHR provides 24/7 services; the occasional need for hours/days outside of Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00, may arise.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of experience and company equity.

- Managerial Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team, providing direction, hiring, performance feedback, coaching, and when necessary, termination. Ensure team accountability aligns with organizational strategies and goals. Communicate effectively within and across teams, design performance indicators, and resolve intergroup conflicts. - Develop and operate an effective, enterprise-wide Quality Management Program and Plan.
- Proactively stay current on emerging federal and state legislation, adjusting the AMHR QI Plan and Program as necessary to maintain compliance and promote audit readiness.
- Ensure the QI Program and operations are communicated effectively to the Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team (Quality & Compliance Committee).
- Coordinate and co-lead the Quality Council (with Compliance) to foster discussion, prioritize areas for investigation or audit, and monitor compliance initiatives.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with directors, legal counsel, and management to effectively manage and minimize risks.
- Develop and distribute standards of conduct, as well as policies and procedures that promote a culture of compliance and ethics.
- Create and implement regular, effective education and training programs for all employees to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain an accurate QI Work Plan.
- Partner with compliance regarding corrective actions resulting from compliance investigations, ensuring proper resolution and documentation of any reported fraud or violations via the compliance hotline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management, Behavioral Health, Nursing, Medical, Business or a related field is required. Preferred:
Master’s degree. - A minimum of five years of experience in Community Mental Health compliance.
- Five years' experience in a clinical or healthcare environment.
- Three years’ experience in a leadership role (leading, supervising others)
- Certified in Health Care Compliance (CPC) Credential from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) - Preferred.
- Strong project management skills with proven experience in effective project control.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with outstanding written, oral, listening, and public speaking skills.
- Experience working collaboratively as part of an organization’s leadership team, promoting a culture of compliance and ethics.
