Overview
Gekko Group is looking for an experienced Finance professional to lead the Finance & Facilities and Personnel functions, driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and people management within a fast‑moving marketing and experiential agency.
Responsibilities- Head up the Finance & Facilities and Personnel functions, working with team members to develop skill sets and business effectiveness.
- Consolidate and review departmental accounts, budgeting and strategic plan processes across the business.
- Deliver financial reporting and accounting in line with company and legal requirements.
- Manage the P&L, forecasts, cash flow and management accounts accurately.
- Turn insights into initiatives that improve performance and profitability.
- Maintain and manage Gekko Group offices and vehicle fleet.
- Direct the HR Manager to ensure statutory requirements are met and people are valued.
- Lead and support teams to do their best work and demonstrate commercial smartness with client budgets.
- Interact regularly with auditors and financial advisors to fulfil statutory requirements and support ad‑hoc projects.
- Experience in finance from any sector; facilities and personnel experience is an ideal addition.
- Proven experience in Sage is essential, with ability to create stellar management accounts and forecasts, and maintain a healthy balance sheet. ACCA or similar qualification is desirable.
- Leadership with integrity, able to balance day‑to‑day demands and strategic expectations, motivate a team and build strong internal and external relationships.
- Strong commercial understanding and ability to translate it into effective financial and business decision‑making.
Hybrid working: 4 days in the Newbury office and 1 day working from home (non‑negotiable). A permanent Monday‑Friday spot with commutable proximity to our Newbury office is required.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary up to £60,000 (DOE), plus a bonus and a car allowance.
