Our client is a leading provider of industrial water treatment solutions, specializing in customized programs for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. Their focus is delivering exceptional service, technical expertise, and sustainable water management strategies to their clients across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
They have an immediate need for a dynamic Senior Sales Manager with a strong background in industrial water treatment to drive business development and oversee account management in the DC, Richmond, or Charlotte region. This is a remote work position but candidates must be located within the territory.
This role is responsible for winning new business, developing long-term client relationships, and ensuring successful program delivery through effective staffing and oversight. This is a hybrid role requiring both sales acumen and operational leadership, making it ideal for a hands-on professional who can grow and manage accounts from the ground up.
Responsibilities- Identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and government sectors.
- Developing customized water treatment solutions based on site‑specific needs and system evaluations.
- Staffing new accounts by coordinating technician assignments, onboarding personnel, and ensuring adequate coverage.
- Overseeing the successful implementation and ongoing management of secured accounts to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for key accounts, conducting regular site visits, reviews, and performance assessments.
- Collaborating with internal technical, service, and safety teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality service.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to strategically position the company’s offerings.
- Achieving assigned sales and retention targets while supporting regional growth initiatives.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial water treatment, with a strong track record in technical sales and account management.
- Must have experience with government contracting or institutional clients.
- Certified Water Technologist (CWT) or willingness to obtain, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to not only close new accounts but also successfully staff, launch, and oversee the operational delivery of those accounts.
- In‑depth knowledge of water treatment systems, including cooling towers, boilers, and closed‑loop systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Self‑motivated and results‑oriented with a customer‑first mindset.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and service scheduling tools.
$175‑200K plus bonus, full benefits.
