DescriptionOld Republic Surety Company (ORSC) is currently seeking a Supervisor, Claims Operations Support to join its Claims Team at our branch and home office in Brookfield, WI.

As Supervisor, Claims Operations Support
, you will report to the Vice President of Claims and ensure claims are handled promptly and accurately. You will guide team performance and help shape the processes that support adjusters, in‑house counsel, and internal partners, directly influencing the quality and consistency of claims support services.
- Supervise and support claims support staff, including training, performance management, and participation in hiring and onboarding.
- Oversee daily claims workflow, distributing work to ensure timely and efficient processing.
- Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures while identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
- Ensure professional and accurate handling of communications with claimants, attorneys, principals, and internal teams, and assist with escalated inquiries as needed.
- Set up new claim files, obtain underwriting information, and collaborate with leadership on next steps.
- Prepare and review correspondence, acknowledgments, and interdepartmental communications using approved templates.
- Coordinate meetings and conference calls for adjusters and in‑house counsel.
- Assist with processing loss payments, salvage reserves, contract proceeds, and reinsurance transactions.
- Assemble, summarize, and analyze information for reports, presentations, and internal audit needs.
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- Preferred but not required: AS/400 experience, technical background, or paralegal experience.
- Strong supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others and manage changing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows-based systems, and claims or administrative systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, professional office environment.

This role does not require travel and is performed in a professional office setting. Physical requirements include extended periods of sitting, occasional standing or walking, and occasional lifting of up to ten pounds. Ergonomic equipment is available to support employee comfort and productivity.
