The RolePurpose of the role
You will enhance the delivery of the world’s most complex projects through project controls and act as a senior leader within the Laminar team and the wider industry.
Your team
This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy, focusing on understanding project problems, implementing the best solutions, and developing scalable best practices, tools and technology. You will join our Project Controls Discipline Team, led by a discipline director.

- Own the controls: manage cost, schedule, change and risk on one or more projects to enable accurate decisions
- Develop everyone: maximise development of your team and educate clients to improve as well
- Make scalable solutions: develop scalable, repeatable best practices and tools with the team
- Report and inform: provide simple actionable reports to stakeholders to improve efficiency
- Own the outcome: drive understanding and focus on the plan to ensure progress
- A construction engineering background: solid capability in cost, schedule and change, with experience in developing project controls processes and reporting aligned with objectives
- Communication skills: ability to engage teams, drive adoption of new approaches, and promote best practices
- Leadership capabilities: proven leader, coach and developer of teams with a track record of building high-performing planning and controls functions
- Impact: history of implementing scalable, repeatable solutions with positive impact on complex projects

You’ll be exposed to several projects in your first year, including data centres, infrastructure, high tech and complex building projects. Projects are hands-on and dynamic, with lessons captured for our knowledge repository and potential product development.
Where would I be working?
Possible work from home, site visits, London office workshops, and travel to Europe or the Middle East depending on project needs.
