What You’ll Be Doing (Position Summary):

The Director, Retail Lending Services (RLS) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to the Hyderabad-based Retail Lending Services division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective lending processes and services aligned with CIBC’s strategic objectives. The incumbent drives operational excellence, risk management, and transformation initiatives, enabling the business to meet current and future growth objectives through flawless execution, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.

How You’ll Succeed (Responsibilities):

- Lead and direct the Retail Lending Services organization, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
- Oversee end-to-end credit processing operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
- Champion process transformation initiatives to optimize turnaround times, reduce operational risk, and enhance service delivery.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements across all RLS activities.
- Develop, mentor, and empower their team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, audit, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators, driving continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and business planning for the RLS division.
- Represent RLS in enterprise-wide programs and strategic initiatives.

Experience:

12+ years of experience

Must Have

Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Operations Management or related field (master's degree preferred).
- 12+ years of progressive experience in financial services, including significant leadership roles at a business unit or enterprise level.
- Professional certifications in operations, risk management, or financial services preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in retail lending operations, credit products, and regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced strategic planning, business transformation, and operational management skills.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities at a director or enterprise level.
- Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with credit processing systems, workflow management tools, and enterprise technology platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets and resources.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Attention to detail.
