Hours - 37 Hours per week

Contract type - Full time, permanent

Work Style - Flexible working: working from home/working in a suitable location within the City of Wolverhampton 2 days per week.

You will be joining the Housing Enabling Team within Housing Development, City Housing who are committed to improving housing services for our City’s residents.

Our overall aim is “Good Homes in well-connected neighbourhoods” and we are tasked with delivering a key corporate objective, supported by the City Housing Strategy, to improve housing services across all tenures.

This post will support the Strategic Housing Asset Manager with the management of land and property assets within the housing portfolio and help develop a comprehensive database of estate-based assets, making recommendations for future use, to support the City’s plans for regeneration and asset investment.

Guided by the Building Safety Act, this role will ensure the Council, as Landlord, is compliant with all matters relating to building safety for leased properties by developing a robust monitoring programme for future repairs and maintenance obligations.

The role will also support the development of a housing supply which meets the needs of the residents of the City of Wolverhampton. You will provide technical support to a programme of market to affordable housing conversion to support plans aimed at increasing housing stock within the City.

Additionally, you will provide support in ensuring that all assets are used to make the best use of assets through optimising existing housing assets to improve living conditions and community sustainability.

Experience of working in a relevant field (e.g., asset management, housing management or regeneration), project delivery, carrying out consultations and managing a land and property portfolio is essential.

We are seeking a motivated and committed professional to join a friendly, positive and progressive team. You will have a good knowledge of land and property assets, the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, use IT confidently and develop databases effectively. You will have the confidence, credibility and interpersonal skills to work with a range of partners both internal and external to the Council.
