Job Summary

Are you passionate about shaping great leadership and helping colleagues grow in confidence, capability and impact? At The Christie, we know that effective, compassionate leadership plays a vital role in creating a positive culture where people can thrive. We're committed to supporting managers at every level with high‑quality development that strengthens how we work together and the care we provide. We’re looking for an engaging, creative and skilled Leadership & Management Skills Facilitator to join our Workforce Development Team.

In this influential role, you’ll help design, deliver and continually improve a range of leadership and management programmes that align with our Trust priorities, the Christie Leadership & Management Competency Framework, and our Inclusive Culture Strategy. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Workforce Development Team and the Engagement & Organisational Development team to help embed purposeful and compassionate leadership behaviours across the organisation.

You’ll be someone who brings curiosity and a passion for people. If you enjoy facilitating interactive learning, encouraging reflective practice and supporting behaviour change, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact on colleagues’ experience, growth and confidence. This role is full‑time, Band 6 (job matching pending), a hybrid role based at our Withington site and home working.

Fixed term for 12 months, 37.5 hours/week.

Main Duties
  • Design, plan and deliver engaging leadership and management development sessions using face‑to‑face, virtual, blended and digital methods.
  • Use experiential, dynamic and group‑centred facilitation approaches to support reflective practice and positive behavioural change.
  • Align all learning content with the Christie Leadership & Management Competency Framework and Trust priorities.
  • Evaluate programmes by collecting, analysing and reporting on participation and demographic data to ensure inclusive access and identify under‑represented groups.
  • Adapt learning content based on evaluation findings, participant feedback, research and national NHS leadership requirements.
  • Design inclusive and accessible learning experiences that support diverse groups, including colleagues with specific learning needs or those who are harder to reach.
  • Deliver training on culture, relationships, people dynamics, systems and structures to support healthy team and organisational functioning.
  • Engage, motivate and influence participants at all levels through interactive, compassionate and challenging facilitation.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues to help them identify the most appropriate development opportunities based on their needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Workforce Development and Engagement & OD Teams to continually enhance our leadership and management development offer.
