Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to take responsibility for the management, strategy and development of the Council's property estate. This is a pivotal leadership role ensuring our assets deliver maximum value, support service delivery, and meet community needs.

As Service Leader - Assets, You Will
  • Drive the development and implementation of asset management strategies aligned with Council priorities.
  • Oversee the management of buildings, land, leases, and property development projects.
  • Ensure statutory compliance across all properties, including fire safety, asbestos, legionella and other health and safety requirements.
  • Lead financial planning for the asset portfolio, managing budgets, controlling expenditure, and identifying income opportunities.
  • Provide strong leadership to asset management teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate asset records and ensure robust governance of property data.
  • Oversee the delivery of a programme of capital projects.
