This is a key People Operations leadership role focused on delivering high-quality employee relations, policy governance and wellbeing strategy! The successful candidate will combine technical HR knowledge with strong stakeholder engagement skills across Guernsey. This full‑time position sits at Manager level and requires an experienced individual already operating within an ER‑led HR function.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:- Leading and managing Employee Relations processes, ensuring compliance with local legislation and firm policies.
- Managing absence processes including sickness monitoring, parental leave, extended leave and remote working arrangements.
- Developing and implementing a Wellbeing Strategy in collaboration with relevant internal committees.
- Managing employment manual updates and overseeing contractual changes.
- Reporting on ER and absence metrics in line with risk and quality frameworks.
- Coaching and supporting leaders in managing ER cases effectively.
- Collaborating with other Human Capital teams including Business Partners, Digital, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition.
- Supporting ad hoc strategic People initiatives aligned to the wider People Strategy.
- Managing and developing direct reports within the People Operations team.
- Ensuring HR systems and processes remain compliant, efficient and aligned to best practice.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing Employee Relations cases and leading policy and absence frameworks within a regulated or professional services environment. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of Channel Islands employment legislation and best practice, alongside the ability to coach and influence senior stakeholders. CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent) is required. Candidates should already be operating at Manager level or ready to step into a managerial leadership role, with strong communication skills, resilience and the ability to manage competing priorities.
This role is open to Guernsey or Jersey‑based candidates who already hold the right to work in the relevant jurisdiction.
