About The Role
We’re looking for a Deputy Head of Site Support to play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering a high‑performing Site Support function across the UK. Supporting the Head of Site Support, you’ll help drive consistency, efficiency and strong financial governance across a complex, multi‑project environment. This is a great opportunity for a people‑focused leader with strong financial and process expertise who enjoys working across operational, finance and technology teams to deliver real business benefit.
What you’ll be doing Leadership & Team Management- Support the Head of Site Support in overseeing and managing the Site Support team nationwide
- Ensure a clear development and capability programme is in place for all Site Support team members
- Promote a collaborative, high‑performance culture across the function
- Oversee the production of accurate project cost reporting and accrual management within Site Support
- Ensure supporting documentation is produced for cost recovery projects, minimising disallowable costs as part of business‑as‑usual activity
- Maintain strong financial controls and governance across Site Support activities
- Ensure Site Support processes and policies are consistently followed across the UK
- Drive a “one way of working” approach across all SBUs
- Work closely with IT and other business functions to develop and implement automated solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Engage confidently with senior finance leadership, procurement, HR, operational teams, hire desk and shared service centres
- Build effective relationships with external suppliers, IT consultants and customers
- Present issues, solutions and improvement opportunities clearly to senior stakeholders
- Strong people management skills, leading teams at different levels
- The ability to identify issues early and work collaboratively to develop effective solutions
- Confidence engaging with senior management to influence decision‑making and drive change
- A strong understanding of P2P processes, with the ability to influence improvements and efficiencies
- Knowledge of payroll principles, including AP2P for weekly and monthly paid employees
- Experience or understanding of project cost reporting principles
