We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, growing care group for a Home Manager to lead a 50-bed nursing and residential care home based in Halstead, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong, commercially minded leader to take ownership of a service and play a key role in the next phase of growth and development.

The home provides both nursing and residential care and is part of a small but ambitious group currently going through an exciting period of expansion and positive change. The organisation combines quality-focused care with a clear commercial strategy, making this an ideal environment for a manager who understands both compliance and business performance.

The Role

As Home Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the home, including:

* Leading and developing a stable, high-performing clinical and care team

* Ensuring the highest standards of care, governance and regulatory compliance

* Driving occupancy and maintaining strong local relationships

* Managing budgets, staffing levels and overall home performance

* Creating a positive, values-led culture within the home

* Working closely with senior leadership to support wider group growth

This role requires someone confident in both quality leadership and commercial performance.

About You

We are looking for:

* Proven experience managing a similar sized nursing and residential care home

* A strong understanding of CQC compliance and quality standards

* Demonstrable experience improving and maintaining occupancy levels

* Commercial awareness and budget management experience

* Excellent leadership, communication and team development skills

* Nurse qualification desirable (but not essential depending on background and experience)
