Job Title: Head of Region (North) (Partnerships, Relationship Management, External Engagement)
Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week
Job Status: Permanent
Location: Home based - with expectation of travel within area (North of England), and nationally where required.
Salary: £64,786.99

Interview Dates: 18 and 19 March 2026 (in person in Leeds city centre; virtual culture‑based interview, and meeting with fellow Heads of Region).

This is an exciting time to join Skills for Care as our Head of Region for the North of England. The postholder will lead and manage a newly formed senior team of colleagues across the North of England, and play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the Skills for Care strategy and annual business plan.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the senior team across the North of England, motivating, developing and directing team members.
- Identify, engage and build relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, Government representatives and partners.
- Deliver and influence the Skills for Care offer, using insight and intelligence to create solutions for employers and stakeholders.
- Represent and influence on behalf of Skills for Care and the broader social care sector.
- Provide strategic guidance and support for the implementation of the Skills for Care strategy and annual business plan.
- Deep knowledge of the social care and health system in England.
- Proven experience in partnership, relationship management and external engagement.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of motivating and developing senior teams.
- Ability to influence and drive change across a complex sector.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
