An established electronics manufacturing organisation supporting aerospace, industrial and medical technology sectors is seeking an Internal Account Manager to manage key customer relationships and ensure the successful delivery of operational and commercial objectives.
The Internal Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, overseeing operational performance, financial management and customer satisfaction across the account lifecycle.
Working closely with the Head of Programmes and cross‑functional teams, this role will drive customer growth, maintain profitability and ensure high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Customer & Account Management- Act as the main operational contact for assigned customer accounts
- Build and maintain strong long‑term customer relationships
- Lead customer‑focused teams (typically 8‑12 people) to deliver high levels of service
- Conduct regular customer meetings and reviews, including quarterly business reviews
- Manage issue resolution and customer escalations
- Manage account profitability including costs, pricing and margins
- Provide forecasting for revenue, order intake and order book performance
- Support strategic growth opportunities with existing customers
- Ensure financial performance aligns with business objectives
- Manage accounts receivable in line with agreed payment terms
- Resolve pricing discrepancies and contractual issues with customers
- Address excess and obsolete material claims
- Maintain and manage customer agreements and contracts
- Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver operational excellence
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, production and quality functions
- Support the organisation's KPIs and operational targets
- Contribute to SIOP meetings and strategic planning processes
- Maintain accurate information within CRM and ERP systems
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on account performance
- Utilise business systems and tools to manage customer accounts effectively
- Experience working within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Proven experience leading or coordinating cross‑functional teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and senior stakeholders
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage account profitability
- Analytical and problem‑solving capability
- Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Experience with in electronics manufacturing or high‑reliability sectors
- Experience with SIOP, MRP or manufacturing planning systems
- Project management experience
- Strong IT and business systems capability
Based primarily at the Newport site with some remote working possible
Occasional travel within the UK and internationally (approximately 1‑2 days per month)
