Are you an experienced Building Control Specialist with a class 3 or above qualification who can motivate and oversee the work of a dynamic professional Building Control Team working on exciting and ambitious development projects? If so, then this is the job for you!

Leading on major developments you will provide innovative, creative solutions and ensure compliance with legislation to breathe life into projects ensuring they stay safe and accessible for many years to come.
YourResponsibilities Will Include
- Leading multi-disciplinary design teams to achieve Council and regulatory objectives, ensuring compliance and delivering within budget.
- Oversee daily activity and workloads of the team to meet objectives and targets.
- Lead enforcement of legislation, overseeing consistency and compliance of the technical service and addressing issues with wider bodies including Registered Building Control Approvers.
- Coordinate quotes for potential work.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to continue improving and delivering best practice.
The Role
- Technical expertise and experience managing complex Building Regulation applications under the Building Act 1984.
- Proven project management experience, combining regulatory compliance and time management to deliver within timescales and budgetary constraints.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience developing and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and clients.
- Previous experience of leadership and mentorship of junior colleagues.
- Proven ability to problem solve, provide innovative, forward-thinking solutions.
