About the Role
Senior Pre‑Construction Manager in the Building Solutions team, based in Southampton (remote working available). The role involves leading a talented team to deliver high‑quality bids and innovative solutions across projects valued up to £15 million.
Hours:
40 hours per week with some flexibility. Remote working available with occasional office travel required.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate all pre‑construction activities from tender issue through to operational handover, ensuring milestones and quality standards are met.
- Manage and develop a team of pre‑construction and estimating professionals, fostering collaboration and wellbeing while balancing workloads.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply‑chain partners, ensuring confidence in our ability to deliver exceptional results.
- Contribute to bid strategy development and risk identification, working closely with governance, commercial, estimating, planning and design management colleagues.
- Conduct site visits and engage with stakeholders to inform detailed design and pricing processes, de‑risking projects during pre‑construction stages.
- HNC, HND or degree in construction or engineering, with membership of a relevant professional body such as CIOB, APM, CIAT or RICS.
- Substantial pre‑construction experience on projects up to £15 million, with a proven track record of leading multi‑disciplinary teams to successful delivery.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to articulate requirements to diverse audiences and build trusted relationships.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with commercial and contractual awareness and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
