The RoleDeliver the risk‑based internal audit plan, provide consultancy and advisory activities that drive positive change within the Council, and provide assurance to stakeholders and clients. Assess governance, risk and control, and advise Senior Managers to improve governance, internal control, financial management and risk management arrangements. This is a public/customer‑facing role, subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check, and requires statutory English language proficiency.
WorkingPattern
This is a full‑time position. While the location/work‑base is specified, the role may also allow remote work, which will be discussed during the recruitment process.
What You’ll Need to Succeed- Professional qualification (CCAB/CMIIA).
- Sound audit background at a senior level.
- Ability to perform complex audit work to a high standard.
- Good understanding of current best audit practice.
