We’re pleased to share an opportunity for two Making Prevention Real (MPR) Programme Officer roles within Adult Social Care.
The roles sit within the Assurance and Transformation function and will play a key role in shaping and delivering the Council’s Making Prevention Real programme – a major transformation initiative focused on prevention, independence, and better outcomes for residents, while helping to manage future demand and financial pressures across the system.
The Programme Officers will work closely with senior leaders, teams across the Council and external partners to design and implement prevention‑focused change. This is a great opportunity for someone who:
- Has experience in programme, project or change management
- Enjoys working collaboratively across services and organisations
- Is confident in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Is motivated by improvement and making a tangible difference for residents
While experience in Adult Social Care or health and care systems is desirable, we welcome interest from anyone who feels they have relevant skills, experience and transferable strengths.
We believe great services start with great people — and that means building a workforce that reflects our community. At Telford & Wrekin Council, everyone belongs, and every voice matters.
What we offer:
- We offer competitive salaries and a fantastic leave package—starting at 24 days, rising to 32 days with service, plus 8 bank holidays and an extra concessionary day to enjoy.
- Staff discounts & salary sacrifice perks
- Hybrid working model - whether you're in the office or working from home, we support a balance that fits your personal and family commitments.
Roles involving children or vulnerable adults will require a criminal records check. It’s an offence to apply if you’re barred from working with these groups.
