£53,460 - £56,533 per annum (subject to 26/27 pay award)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the Council’s Housing Enabling and Development Team in Teignbridge. The role involves maximising the delivery of affordable housing across the towns and villages of Teignbridge including across the Dartmoor National Park. This is achieved by working collaboratively with developers, planners, architects, landowners, community land trusts and members of the Teignbridge Affordable Housing Partnership of Registered Providers.
The role will lead the Council’s work to bring forward affordable housing development across a number of Council-owned sites, both through direct development and through delivery partners. This includes lead client responsibility for the council’s development of a scheme for 23 new Passivhaus plus social rented homes. This role also has responsibility for assuring that our small housing stock meets all regulatory standards.

- Have significant experience in Housing Enabling and/or in Housing Development.
- Have strong attention to detail, a positive approach to your work and be able to work with others to achieve good outcomes as a team.
- Have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and accurately with colleagues, members of the public and partner agencies.
- Have good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite of products and good IT skills.
