We are seeking enthusiastic Project Managers with a strong track record of delivering infrastructure and built environment projects within the defence sector to join our expanding team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting clients across complex, security-sensitive programmes, contributing to the planning, coordination, and execution of critical defence infrastructure initiatives.
You will bring experience operating within highly regulated environments, with a clear understanding of the governance, assurance, and delivery challenges associated with defence estates and secure facilities. Working closely with stakeholders across government and industry, you will help enable the successful delivery of strategically important programmes that underpin national capability and operational readiness.
This role is focused across the North of the country, offering the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of defence infrastructure projects in locations including Manchester, Cumbria, the North East and beyond.
When deployed, you’ll spend the majority of your week on client sites, giving you direct exposure to high-profile programmes and the opportunity to work alongside key stakeholders at the heart of delivery. When project demands allow, you will also benefit from hybrid and remote working flexibility.
Travel across the region is a core part of the role, providing variety and the chance to contribute to a range of impactful and strategically important programmes. Occasional overnight stays may be required.
What You’ll Be Doing- Understand, and deliver in accordance with, organisational policies, processes, and procedures.
- Support the development and assurance of business cases as part of wider approval processes.
- Analyse, develop, support, and manage the timely and cost-effective delivery of client projects, meeting business and environmental objectives.
- Influence, support, and expedite client project delivery through effective planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting of project performance.
- Identify and effectively manage project assumptions and dependencies.
- Support identification of slippage and risk, and implement remedial or mitigating actions, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and management procedures.
