Job Overview
Step into a senior leadership role at the heart of some of the UK’s most complex projects. You will lead major infrastructure and environmental programmes, working with national clients such as National Grid, Great British Nuclear and Tier-1 contractors, delivering integrated solutions that combine environmental insight, project leadership and commercial thinking.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership across major infrastructure and environmental programmes, setting direction and driving high-quality, best‑for‑project outcomes
- Lead the integration of multidisciplinary teams, ensuring robust project management practices, clear accountability and effective delivery governance are in place
- Oversee assurance, governance and compliance, giving clients and delivery teams confidence that projects are well controlled, well managed and aligned to the brief
- Influence client, project and stakeholder decision‑making, driving engagement, shaping strategy and strengthening relationships across the project lifecycle
- Strengthen client relationships and grow future opportunities by positioning WSP as a trusted delivery partner on complex programmes
- Champion excellence across the EPM team by mentoring future leaders, building capability and raising the standard of delivery
- Proven experience leading environmental projects or work streams within complex infrastructure, development or multidisciplinary programmes
- Strong environmental background across areas such as EIA, contaminated land or similar environmental specialisms
- Track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and integrating environmental inputs to deliver high‑quality outcomes
- Solid project leadership capability across governance, planning, risk, programme and delivery management
- Confident, collaborative leader with experience in client engagement, stakeholder management and developing others
- Chartered, or working towards chartership, with a relevant professional institution
