Are you an experienced care home leader ready to shape the future of adult social care?

We are looking for a strong, values‑led manager to lead two care centres through an exciting period of transformation. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the day‑to‑day running, performance and quality of both centres, while helping to deliver a new integrated intermediate care model in partnership with health colleagues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready for the next step, who can demonstrate the leadership, resilience and operational expertise needed to manage complex services and support change at pace.

About

The Role

As the manager for two care centres, you will provide overall operational leadership and be accountable for safe, high‑quality, cost‑effective services. The role includes leadership of staff, service performance, safeguarding, partnership working, quality assurance, complaints handling, resource management and the implementation of service improvement and change.

You will:

  • lead the day‑to‑day operation of two care centres, ensuring safe, effective and high‑quality care delivery
  • act as the Registered Manager for the centres and ensure regulatory and statutory responsibilities are met
  • provide visible leadership to staff, setting clear standards, managing performance and supporting development through effective supervision
  • work closely with health partners and other stakeholders to embed a new integrated way of working and deliver improved outcomes for people using services
  • drive service improvement, support transformation and help shape new ways of delivering adult social care, ensuring safeguarding duties, risk management and quality assurance arrangements are robust and consistently applied
  • oversee budgets, staffing resources, service standards and operational compliance across both sites, build positive working relationships with colleagues, partners, residents and families, and respond effectively to concerns and complaints where needed
About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate significant experience of managing care homes and who is confident leading services through change.

You will bring:

  • significant experience of managing care homes or residential care settings
  • strong operational leadership skills and the ability to manage more than one service area
  • experience of leading staff teams, setting standards, monitoring performance and improving quality
  • experience of partnership working and achieving successful outcomes with internal and external organisations
  • the ability to lead change, work flexibly and adapt to new demands and challenges
  • strong communication, report writing and interpersonal skills
  • experience of managing resources, including people, budgets and buildings
  • a clear commitment to person‑centred, anti‑discriminatory and high‑quality service delivery

Ideally you will already hold CQC Registered Manager status or meet the requirements to register. We will also consider experienced Deputy Managers who can demonstrate strong care home leadership experience and a clear willingness to secure registration where required.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to lead across two care centres and play a central role in transforming services to support a more integrated model of intermediate care. You will work alongside committed council and health colleagues to shape services, improve outcomes and help deliver a modern, collaborative approach to care.

If you are a credible care leader who can combine operational grip with compassionate leadership and partnership working, we would love to hear from you.
