Role Overview
As a Learning & Development Consultant at Softcat, you will partner with senior leaders and sales teams to identify capability needs, improve performance and deliver learning solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and sales teams, acting as a strategic advisor on capability and performance.
- Identify capability gaps and create targeted upskilling strategies that drive sales performance and business outcomes.
- Deliver impactful facilitation, coaching and learning solutions that build skills, confidence and capability.
- Lead end‑to‑end capability programmes, ensuring successful delivery and measurable results.
- Influence stakeholders and shape capability decisions through a performance consulting approach.
- Manage internal resources and external partners to maximise impact, value and business performance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility, influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and performance consulting expertise to identify capability needs and deliver effective business‑focused solutions.
- Experience creating and owning capability strategies, upskilling plans and development initiatives that drive measurable performance outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging learning experiences and provide coaching across virtual and face‑to‑face environments.
- Proficiency in measuring impact through data and insights, using evaluation outcomes to continuously improve learning solutions and capability decisions.
- Capacity to manage multiple capability programmes, stakeholders and external partners while balancing business priorities in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
Flexible working patterns including:
- Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
- Flexible hours – flexing the times you start and finish during the day.
- Flexibility around school pick‑up and drop‑offs.
