Scottish Archery is looking for an inspiring and organised Head of Pathway to help shape the future of archery in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to lead pathway development from participation through to performance, support our 2025–2029 strategy, and play a key role in Scotland’s first dedicated performance programme.

Working with staff, volunteers, area committees, sportscotland, Archery GB and other partners, you will strengthen the pathway, support clubs and communities, champion inclusion, and help people stay involved in archery for life.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting staff, volunteers and partners to deliver strategic outcomes.

Developing the pathway from participation to elite level, including the performance programme.

Championing equality, diversity and inclusion across Scottish Archery.

Working with area committees to strengthen governance, succession planning and local capacity.

Building strong networks and using insight to improve programmes and member support.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership, communication and partnership skills, experience of working with volunteers and athletes, and an understanding of performance sport environments. We know the right person may not tick every box; if you bring passion, values, fresh thinking and transferable experience, we would be delighted to hear from you.

In return, we offer flexible working, generous holidays, support with professional development and the chance to make a lasting impact on archery across Scotland.

Closing date: 12.00pm on Friday 14 August 2026. Interviews are likely to be held week beginning 24 August 2026.

Scottish Archery is an equal opportunities employer and Fair Work First Employer. Inclusion underpins everything we do, and we encourage applications from candidates with the right skills, values and experience. Reasonable adjustments are available for candidates who require them.

This is a regulated role and is subject to PVG Scheme membership under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020
