Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Organisational Development (OD) Lead (Transformation) to join our Organisational Development and Staff Engagement team.
This senior leadership role will initially provide dedicated organisational development leadership for a major service integration programme involving incoming services from St Andrew's Healthcare. Working alongside operational, clinical and corporate leaders, the postholder will play a key role in supporting the successful integration of services, embedding a culture of safety, psychological safety and high quality care, and ensuring staff experience, wellbeing, leadership development and cultural integration remain central to the programme's success.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex organisational development, culture and workforce transformation activity at scale, whilst contributing to wider Trust and Group priorities, including the development of values and behaviours and leadership capability.
You will bring senior OD expertise to help leaders and teamsnavigate change, strengthen leadership capability and create the conditions for positive staff experience, engagement and team effectiveness.
The role will also provide leadership to a team of OD and leadership practitioners, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, continuous improvement and psychological safety.
Main duties of the jobThe postholder will provide strategic OD leadership for a portfolio of culture, leadership and transformation programmes aligned to Trust priorities, with an initial focus on supporting the integration of services transferring from St Andrew's Healthcare.
They will work with senior leaders and stakeholders to design, deliver and evaluate OD interventions that support cultural integration, staff engagement, leadership development, workforce transformation and service improvement.
Acting as a trusted senior advisor, the postholder will use organisational insight, staff feedback and evidence-based practice to influence decision-making, facilitate complex discussions and support leaders to deliver change in a way that balances staff experience with operational outcomes.
The Senior OD Lead will oversee programme governance, risks, benefits and impact measures, providing assurance on delivery while contributing to wider Trust and Group priorities such as values and behaviours, leadership development and culture change.
The postholder will provide leadership and professional oversight to OD and leadership practitioners, supporting their development and creating a positive, inclusive and psychologically safe environment that enables individuals and teams to thrive.

Job responsibilities
The postholder will translate strategic priorities into practical OD plans for the service integration programme and wider transformation portfolio, ensuring activity is clearly scoped, coordinated and aligned with operational, clinical and corporate work streams.
They will develop and deliver interventions that support team development, leadership capability, engagement, cultural alignment and change readiness, drawing on staff voice, workforce data, organisational diagnostics and recognised OD practice.
The role will require confident facilitation of complex and sensitive discussions with leaders and teams, helping to surface issues, build shared understanding and agree practical actions that support safe, inclusive and effective services.
The postholder will establish clear governance, evaluation and reporting arrangements for OD activity, including monitoring risks, tracking benefits, measuring impact and providing assurance to programme and organisational governance forums.
