Job function

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Deinstallation Site Manager will oversee the successful delivery of telecoms Network Operations Centre (NOC) decommissioning projects, managing a team of Deinstallation Assistants and ensuring all equipment removal activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with customer requirements.

You will act as the primary on-site operational lead, coordinating activities between TXO teams, customers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and hands‑on experience within telecoms environments, data centres, exchanges, or technical facilities.

Specific responsibilities Site Management & Leadership
  • Lead and supervise teams of Deinstallation Assistants during telecom network decommissioning projects.
  • Provide clear direction, task allocation, and daily briefings to ensure efficient site delivery.
  • Manage site activities from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within agreed scope.
  • Act as the TXO representative on customer sites, maintaining professional relationships with customers and site contacts.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to company standards.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of Deinstallation Assistants.
Telecom Equipment De-installations
  • Perform and oversee the safe removal and deinstallation of telecom network equipment from customer locations.
  • Ensure equipment is disconnected, removed, labelled, packaged, and prepared for transportation in line with TXO processes.
  • Manage the removal of racks, cabinets, cabling, power systems, hardware, and associated network infrastructure.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, avoiding damage to customer assets and facilities.
  • Follow customer‑specific procedures, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permit‑to‑Work requirements.
Asset Identification & Detailing
  • Ensure all recovered assets are accurately identified, recorded, and labelled.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories including equipment descriptions, serial numbers, quantities, and condition assessments.
  • Ensure asset information is captured using TXO systems and processes.
  • Support asset recovery teams by providing accurate data to maximise resale and reuse opportunities.
  • Identify discrepancies between planned and recovered equipment and report accordingly.
