Group Manager in London - Visitor Attractions & Adventure Experiences £60-75k (experience dependent) + commission structure
Location:
London-based, with regular travel (UK)
Our client is a fast-growing visitor attractions and experiences business, operating a portfolio of iconic urban adventure sites across the UK at some of the country's well-recognised landmarks. They're looking for a commercially sharp, operationally meticulous leader to take the reins of day-to-day delivery across the whole portfolio, reporting directly to the owner.
This is a genuinely rare opportunity to step into a business at an exciting growth point. With four sites already live, a new attraction launching at a major football club and a further private project in development in London and the North, there is real scope to shape how the business scales. You'll take oversee leadership of a team of 85, including a Head of Operations and Head of Commercial, freeing the owner to focus on the next phase of growth while you run the engine room.
On offer is a strong base salary with a commission structure open to negotiation for the right candidate, a hands-on and genuinely varied leadership role, and a clear path to grow as the business expands into new cities and new attractions.
Working pattern:Hybrid, split across a London base, home working and time on site with the team, plus UK travel as required and to ensure site presence.
Key responsibilities:
Commercial growth: Drive site and company revenue through new partnership opportunities, secondary spend initiatives such as photography and ticket packaging, and site-specific marketing and SEO activity.
Operational oversight: Take ultimate responsibility for health and safety and operational standards across all sites, putting in place audits and measures that go beyond simply taking a site manager's word for it.
Team leadership: Manage and develop the Head of Operations and Head of Commercial, building back of house structure, SOPs and risk assessment processes that raise the bar across the business.
Site-level strategy: Recognise and act on the different opportunities and pressures at each site, from maximising spend at high-footfall locations to protecting account satisfaction at high-provision contracts.
Business partnership: Work as a close, trusted right hand to the owner, taking on enough of the day-to-day that they can focus on scaling the business further.
Experienced operator: You'll have a background in visitor attractions, leisure or a comparable multi-site hospitality environment, ideally somewhere with the scale and standards of an operator like Merlin Entertainments.
Commercially minded: You understand secondary spend, partnership opportunities and how marketing and SEO play into driving footfall and revenue in this world.
Safety-obsessed: You're meticulous by nature, someone who dots the i's and crosses the t's on risk assessments and compliance rather than assuming standards are being met.
A natural leader: You're self-motivated, highly organised and mature enough to earn the trust of an 85-strong team and step seamlessly into a senior, visible role.
Hands-on: You want to be in and amongst your team, not managing from a distance, and you're happy to travel to be where you're needed.
A senior leadership role with genuine autonomy and a direct line to the owner.
Real career progression as the business expands into new cities and new attractions.
A dynamic, fast-paced culture where you're encouraged to be yourself while driving serious commercial growth.
A generous holiday allowance to switch off and recharge.
