Senior Oversight Manager

To support this evolution, we're investing significantly in our Operational Risk Oversight team within the Second Line of Defence. We're enhancing the team's capacity, seniority, and technical expertise to strengthen our ability to provide independent challenge, influence strategic outcomes, and help deliver better experiences for our members.

This newly enhanced role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the oversight of some of Nationwide's most significant strategic change and integration programmes. As a Senior Risk Oversight Manager (Change), you'll work closely with the Head of Operational Risk Oversight (Change) to provide independent risk oversight and challenge across a complex portfolio of change initiatives.

Managing change risk is a critical component of our Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Nationwide delivers large-scale change to strengthen operational resilience, launch new products and services, and meet evolving regulatory and legal requirements. As the scale and complexity of technology-enabled change continues to grow, we're investing in new oversight approaches, enhanced capability, and more sophisticated methods of assessing delivery risk.

In this role, you'll provide constructive challenge and insight across all stages of change delivery, operating through Nationwide's Change Framework and supporting oversight of portfolio management, project delivery, and technical implementation. You'll work collaboratively with programme leaders, technology teams, senior stakeholders, and colleagues across the Three Lines of Defence, while also engaging with UK regulatory bodies where appropriate.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London or Glasgow office.
