About the Role
Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Sustainability and ESG to lead their environmental, social, and governance initiatives, working remotely with a strategic oversight across operations, including those in the Northern Cape. This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sustainability strategies that align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. You will champion ESG principles throughout the organization, drive impact reporting, and ensure our client operates responsibly and ethically.
This is a crucial position for an individual committed to making a positive and lasting impact.
- Develop and implement the company's overall sustainability and ESG strategy.
- Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data and metrics.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for improving environmental performance and reducing operational footprint.
- Ensure compliance with relevant sustainability regulations and reporting frameworks.
- Drive a culture of sustainability and corporate social responsibility throughout the organization.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, corporate social responsibility, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and programs.
- Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB), and environmental regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in managing complex projects and driving cross-functional initiatives.
- A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
