Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Aviation Ground Operations Manager to oversee their operations in Polokwane. This hybrid role requires a leader who can effectively manage ground handling services, ensuring efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for leading a diverse team, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining compliance with all relevant aviation ground handling regulations. Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all aspects of ground handling operations , including baggage, cargo, aircraft servicing, and passenger assistance.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, security procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SACAA).
Develop and implement operational plans to optimize efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and control costs.
Lead, train, and motivate ground operations staff, fostering a culture of performance and safety.
Liaise with airline customers, air traffic control, and other airport stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor performance metrics, analyze operational data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience in aviation ground operations management or a related airport operations role.
Strong understanding of ground handling procedures, equipment, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
