About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Automotive Project Manager to lead key development initiatives from anywhere in South Africa. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing complex automotive projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while working effectively with a dispersed global team.

- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage project execution effectively.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, manufacturing, and marketing, in a virtual setting.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Track project progress, report on key milestones, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure clear, consistent communication across all project participants.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on the automotive sector.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of automotive product development life cycles and processes.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills for remote team management.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
