About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Lead Risk Manager to spearhead risk management initiatives for their Banking & Finance operations, operating in a fully remote capacity. This leadership role involves developing and implementing robust risk frameworks, identifying potential threats, and devising mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's assets and reputation. You will guide a team of risk professionals and collaborate extensively with stakeholders across the business to foster a strong risk-aware culture.

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive enterprise-wide risk management frameworks and policies.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize key risks, including credit, market, operational, and compliance risks.

- Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts and specialists, fostering their professional growth.
- Prepare risk reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and the board.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices for risk management.
- Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, with a significant portion in leadership roles within the financial services sector.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing ERM frameworks and risk appetite statements.
- Strong understanding of various risk types (credit, market, operational, liquidity, compliance) and their interdependencies.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in risk management software and data analytics tools.
