About the Role
Our client is seeking a senior and highly strategic Operations Director to lead their operational functions on a fully remote basis, supporting teams across various time zones. This executive role is responsible for shaping and executing the company's operational strategy, driving efficiency, and ensuring scalability as the business grows. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with extensive experience in optimizing complex operational frameworks in a distributed environment.
You will be instrumental in defining and implementing best practices for a globally connected workforce, contributing to the company's long-term success and innovation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company's vision and growth objectives.
- Oversee and optimize all aspects of operations, including process improvement, resource management, and performance metrics.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of operational leaders and staff across remote locations.
- Drive innovation in operational processes and technology to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence and accountability.
- Manage operational budgets, ensure cost-effectiveness, and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management , with significant experience at a Director or VP level.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful operational strategies in a remote-first or distributed company.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate remote teams.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and operational technology.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
