About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Care Manager to oversee operations and lead a team in Stellenbosch. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality social care services to vulnerable populations within the Western Cape. You will be responsible for strategic planning, team supervision, program development, and maintaining strong relationships with community partners and regulatory bodies.

- Manage and supervise a team of social workers and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and policies to enhance the quality and reach of social care services.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of social care programs, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Foster strong collaborations with government agencies, NGOs, and other community stakeholders.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve program objectives.
- Ensure the accurate and timely documentation of client cases and program outcomes.
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in social work or community services, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of social welfare systems, legislation, and best practices in Stellenbosch and surrounding areas.
- Proven leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
