About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Telecom Network Operations Manager to lead their operational teams in Port Elizabeth . This role is crucial for ensuring the day-to-day performance, reliability, and efficiency of the company's telecommunications network. You will oversee a team responsible for network monitoring, incident management, and proactive maintenance to minimize service disruptions. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to manage critical operations while enjoying a balance of on-site leadership and remote work flexibility, contributing to the technological advancement in the Eastern Cape .
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the network operations center (NOC) team, ensuring effective monitoring and incident response.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices for network maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Oversee the performance of the telecommunications network, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and potential issues.
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) for network infrastructure and services.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures to protect network integrity.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics for the operations team.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in telecommunications network operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Proven experience with network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and incident management processes.
- Strong understanding of core telecommunications technologies, including IP networking and transmission systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage effectively in a hybrid work model, overseeing both on-site and remote teams.
