About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the operational efficiency of their FMCG business in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This critical role involves managing production, supply chain, logistics, and quality control to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality products to market. You will lead a dedicated operations team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of FMCG operations, and a commitment to operational excellence, contributing to a culture of efficiency, quality, and sustainable growth within the organization.
- Oversee daily operations, including production scheduling, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Manage the operations team, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and marketing teams to align operations with business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management , with a significant portion in the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of implementing successful operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and quality management systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
