Senior Remote Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Remote Project Manager to lead strategic projects for their globally distributed organization. This is a critical, fully remote position requiring extensive experience in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives without the benefit of a central physical office. You will be responsible for driving project success through exceptional leadership, clear communication, and the effective application of project management methodologies in a virtual setting.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for delivering high-impact results remotely.

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale, high-priority projects from initiation to closure, entirely remotely.
• Develop and implement robust project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Manage and motivate geographically dispersed project teams, fostering a positive and productive virtual working environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular and transparent updates on progress, risks, and milestones.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and company best practices in all project management activities.
• Facilitate effective remote collaboration and decision-making processes across diverse teams and time zones.

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive project management experience , with a significant portion in remote or virtual environments.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million rand projects to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies , adapted for remote teams.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills suitable for a remote context.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is strongly preferred.
