About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee their vehicle operations in and around George . This critical role involves managing the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of the company's fleet, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and promoting safety standards. You will be responsible for optimizing fleet performance, controlling operational costs, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

- Manage the daily operations of the company's vehicle fleet, including scheduling maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Oversee vehicle acquisition, registration, licensing, and disposal processes to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and driver performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including maintenance shops and parts suppliers.
- Proven experience in fleet management or a similar supervisory role within the transportation sector.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control operational costs effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with fleet management software and related technologies.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
