About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Procurement Manager to lead their procurement function from afar, supporting operations based near Mahikeng, North West
. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive procurement strategies, managing a remote team, and overseeing all aspects of supply chain management to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
- Develop and implement overarching procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
- Manage and mentor a remote team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including strategic sourcing, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.
- Analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement best practices in supply chain management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring compliance and performance standards.
- Monitor market trends and geopolitical factors that may impact supply chain operations.
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
