Remote Operations Director

Our client is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Remote Operations Director to lead and transform their operational landscape on a global scale. This executive role is responsible for setting the strategic direction for all operational functions, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence across the entire organization, all managed from a remote-first perspective. You will lead a distributed team, optimize complex processes, and ensure seamless execution of business objectives, fostering a culture of agility, collaboration, and high performance.

This is a critical leadership position for an individual passionate about building and scaling operations in a remote-first environment, with a deep understanding of operational challenges and opportunities across various markets, including those relevant to Upington and the Northern Cape .

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, long-term operational strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and market position.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a global, distributed operations team, fostering a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee and optimize all operational processes, including supply chain, customer support, and internal workflows, to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Drive innovation in operational practices and technology adoption to maintain a competitive edge and anticipate future needs.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics, regularly reporting on operational health and progress to the executive team.
• Manage significant operational budgets, ensuring financial discipline and strategic allocation of resources.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in senior operations leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, complex operations.
• Extensive experience in managing and leading highly effective remote and global teams.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, visionary leadership, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in operational excellence, process optimization, and change management methodologies.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with various industries and operational nuances, with an understanding of regions like the Northern Cape .
