Senior Project Manager - Remote

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to join their distributed team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of key projects, collaborating with virtual teams across different time zones. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, adept at managing complex projects remotely and driving results through exceptional communication and leadership skills.

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of diverse projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements, managing them effectively in a remote setting.
• Facilitate virtual collaboration and communication among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Implement robust risk management strategies and contingency plans to address potential project challenges.
• Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and provide regular, clear updates to senior leadership.
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices and internal company standards throughout the project lifecycle.

• Over 7 years of experience in project management , with a significant portion of that experience managing remote teams and projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in Agile project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and experience with traditional methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Excellent virtual communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills are paramount.
• Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Teams).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; PMP or similar certification is a strong asset.
