Join HII as we keep the world’s most powerful Navy afloat! The Fleet Sustainment team is looking for a Waterfront Manager. This position oversees daily operations for complex naval projects, managing schedules, budgets, and project coordination across teams and stakeholders. Someone in this role will monitor progress, resolves issues to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals, and provides oversight of production activities on assigned vessels.

The role also supports shipbuilding, overhaul, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) efforts through direct coordination with contractors, customers, and project staff.

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  
  Interact directly with contractor(s), customer, and staff as necessary to ensure timely and cost-effective accomplishment of project and established goals.
• Provide oversight of all production personnel on an assigned vessel.
• Serve as advisor to lower-level managers and exempt employees; help meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

• Ten (10) years of experience in management of complex projects involving USG ships, submarines, or combat systems.
