Our client is looking for an accomplished and visionary Electrical Engineering Manager to lead their high-performing engineering department in Durban . This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex electrical engineering projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for guiding a team of talented engineers, fostering innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence and project delivery.
This role is critical for driving the company's growth and success in the industrial and infrastructure sectors.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all electrical engineering projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Develop and implement strategic engineering plans and objectives aligned with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary technical point of contact for key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department, including process optimization and technology adoption.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role .
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in electrical design, power systems , control systems, and automation.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and financial acumen.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
